Platform: Macintosh Type: FPS Maker: Bungie Marathon was the first game that I ever played on a computer, save for games like Pong and Knockout. I am fortunate to have come upon this game first, as it kicked serious ass. You start out as a Marine who is being kicked around by a computer intelligence that has gone insane and has dillusions of grandeur. You are on a spaceship being run by this thing, and you start with the obligitory melee weapon (fist) and a pistol (.44 Caliber Magnum). You go about generally kicking ass and trying to find terminals set into the walls in order to recieve instructions on how to get out of this ship that is being overrun by aliens from the insane AI. While this sounds pretty simple, the story goes into much more detail, getting more complex as, over the course of the game, two more AIs come into play, making a total of three.
