It's probably not true, but it would be a badass thing to say anyway. This is how I was told it happened: The Archbishop of Canterbury asked if the United States' plans for Iraq were merely an example of empire building by George W. Bush. To which Colin Powell responded: "Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders.
